Acts 26
ACTS STUDY DISCUSSION QUESTIONS
In Acts 26, we hear Paul’s testimony for the third and final time. In this chapter, what can we learn from Paul about sharing our faith with others?
What are the essential elements of Paul’s testimony (i.e., vss.2-3, vss.4-8, vss.9-11, vss.12-16, vss.17-21, vss.22-23)? How does he treat those who listen? What do you notice about Paul’s responses to the pushback he receives?
Reflecting on Acts 26:18, how can we actively participate in bringing light and truth to those around us who are still in darkness? How will people know we have turned from death to life and received forgiveness of sins and a place among the saints? What are some practical ways we can grow in sharing our death-to-life stories?
In Acts 26:24, Festus interrupts Paul's testimony, claiming that Paul's learning is driving him insane. What does Paul’s response in verse 25 reveal about faith in Christ?
Paul says he was sent to share the gospel story with both “small and great,” whether in a short time or long (Acts 26:22 & 29). Which do you find more challenging, sharing the gospel with someone you’ve known only a brief time or someone you’ve known for a long time? Why?
Agrippa is surprised that Paul would try to persuade him to place his faith in Christ in such a short time. How do Paul’s words in verse 29 encourage and help you?
In Acts 26:31-32, through the words of irreligious people, Luke reiterates Paul’s innocence again. Why do you think Luke presses this point so often? What does Paul’s innocence say about the innocence and purity of Christian faith? How does the world see and know of the purity, goodness, and value of faith in Christ today?
In Acts 26, Paul boldly shares his faith despite skepticism and pushback. When have you had a similar experience? What will you take away and apply in the future from studying Acts 26?
