Advent Guide 2023
At Mars Hill Church, we love celebrating the beautiful season of Advent! Our Mars Hill Advent Guide is one of the many ways we engage with scripture individually, as a family, and in our community groups during Christmas.
This year's Guide is carefully crafted to follow along with the scripture taught by our Teaching Pastors each Sunday during Advent. These pages are designed to be written in, much like a workbook, and will help you and your family dig a little deeper into that Sunday's message.
Also included are service project ideas, talking points for parents to spark discussion with their kiddos, festive treats to make, and much more!

Gospel Community | Neal Ledbetter
Do you long for genuine relationships where you can know others and be known by them? Do you desire more than just gathering in the same space with others without any real connection? In the gospel, we are offered the endless treasure of Jesus and the never-ending, overflowing supply of treasures found in him. One of the rare jewels that comes with our new identity in Christ is a new gospel community, kingdom-family, and people to which we belong and in which we can know and be known. In Gospel Community, Neal Ledbetter explores this rare jewel of the Christian life and encourages us to see that our kingdom-family is simply too important and too wonderful a treasure to ignore, avoid, or treat as unnecessary, unimportant, or secondary to our lives.

Apatheism: How We Share When They Don't Care | Kyle Beshears
How can you share the gospel with someone who doesn’t care? As Western culture becomes increasingly indifferent to questions of faith, diverted by secularism, comfort, and distraction, believers encounter many people who don’t so much doubt God as they are apathetic toward him. In Apatheism, Kyle Beshears urges us to recapture the joy of our salvation and demonstrates how to faithfully display the love of Christ to apatheist friends and neighbors.

Enduring Ministry | Jack Hester
Pastoral ministry is a stressful job. Pastors face an enormous amount of pressure to perform and at times it can certainly feel overwhelming. Because of this, one out of every four pastors will leave ministry because of chronic stress or complete burnout.

It will help you discover ways to care for yourself and your family, avoid burnout, and keep serving God's people well into your golden years of ministry.
