October RECAP
October always seems action-packed for families, and it certainly seemed that way for our church family this month! Even though it’s a busy time of year, we strive to provide opportunities for the church body to grow through AUTHENTIC COMMUNITY, FAMILY DISCIPLESHIP, and BIBLICAL TEACHING. Here’s a recap of some of the events that help our church family engage in those three things.
The seminar From God to Us was held twice, once at both campuses. Around 200 people total gathered at these discussions to dig deeper into foundational truths of our faith, in particular, questions we have about the Bible itself.
Our first ever IF: Gathering was such a treasure. You could tell from the moment you walked through the doors that so much thought was put into every detail, and you know what that translates to? Women feeling appreciated and cared for, which is at the heart of our Women’s Ministry at Mars Hill.
Feedback from the kids who attended the 4th-6th grade retreat has been so overwhelmingly positive. They didn’t want to leave! The weekend was FULL of worship, teaching, and small group times which planted seeds in these precious little hearts.
Youth Merge Day brought teens from both sides of the bay to join together for a time of fun and fellowship. It was the first time we merged both youth groups for an event.
Both campuses held Family Commitment Services this month, and what a beautiful thing to bear witness to and be a part of. Partnering with families in the raising of children is such a powerful showing of love.
Thank you to everyone who showed up, signed up, prayed, watched kids, brought kids, lent a hand, volunteered, etc. Look at what God did in our church in just ONE month.
