Celebrating Sarah

What a joy to celebrate Sarah Jacobs today and reflect upon her service to the Lord as Director of Mars Kids- Mobile! Anyone who has ever had a conversation with Sarah about kids ministry can attest to her unwavering passion for engaging those little hearts for Christ. Every detail, no matter how seemingly small, Sarah had our kids in mind. I honestly cannot think of a time when Sarah did not get choked up talking about the importance of pointing our kids to the Lord. I will always remember sitting in the parent’s class for kid’s baptism, listening to her speak, and thinking to myself that this woman is a treasure.

What a blessing to our Mars Family she has been and will continue to be. In a recent conversation, I shared with Sarah some parenting struggles I was dealing with and she offered me the perfect advice: nothing. No tips or tricks for being a perfect parent. She just listened, really listened, and then said she would be praying for me about it. And because I’ve watched her for the past five years, I trust her when she says she will do something. There’s a term for this kind of thing: Living Legacy. I can’t wait to see how the Lord uses her next.
